Tonight, as I have currently run out of things to read at the moment, I decided to revisit my collected poems of Langston Hughes. I opened the book to a random page...and strangely this was the first poem I landed on...
Tired
I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two --
And see what worms are eating
At the rind.
I say strangely because this perfectly describes my mood as of late...not happy, not sad, just tired...
