Last night I rented Beginners and really enjoyed it. It's thoughtful, clever, at times sad and makes me want to ride roller skates through a hotel lobby. An extremely charming film that I would definitely recommend.

divine secrets
I adore Marlene Marino's work. If I had to narrow down to my absolute favorites, it would have to be the "Sisters" series.
I love everything about this series and I feel a sense of nostalgia about this series.
Here are some photos from Marlene Marino's series "Sisters".
Make sure to check out her other work as well!

Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011
Oh hey, what's that draining sound?
Not to worry, that's just my bank account once Alexa Chung's Fall 2011 collection hits Madewell next month (September 22).
Cosy sweaters, lace tops, peter pan collars, flirty skirts....I'm definitely interested. It's not like I need my money to eat, pay bills or survive in general...

what makes the red man red?
Today at the bookstore...
Customer: Do y'all have any books on injuns?
Me: Excuse me? *I mean really, besides Inglorious Basterds, I've never come across a person who has said this in all sincerity.*
Customer: You know, INJUNS?
*he then proceeds to put his hand over his mouth and attempt ululating.*
Me: You mean, native americans?
Customer: OHHH, yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. So, do y'all have any?

bite the lightening and tell me how it tastes
Seeing these dudes was the highlight of my day yesterday. Actually, whenever I run into them it's usually the highlight of my day.
Photos from their set slowly being uploaded on my flickr.

I'm way into this song. I can't wait until Coastal Grooves comes out next week.
Here are some cool photos taken by Ben Rayner on the set.

don't call it a comeback
Well, I haven't updated this thing in a minute.
I've sort of dropped off the radar for a bit. Okay, I really dropped off the radar.
I am currently back in Kansas City until next Wednesday. I am shooting Kanrocksas tomorrow over Lollapalooza...don't ask...
I am excited to see the following: Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Eminem, The Black Angels and Best Coast.
It seems like most of the country is suffocating under a nutsack of heat. Not interested.
My hair always looks a hot mess, like pictured or is pulled back into a bun. I just don't even care what I look like this summer. If I could go around wearing basketball shorts and a racerback sports bra, I would. I really really would.
In other news, ever since I let my social life go down the drain, I've been spending time reflecting sitting in my underwear, eating junk food and watching awful television. So far, I've finished two seasons of Vampire Dairies and a season and half of Pretty Little Liars and I may or may not participate in watching Keeping Up With The Karadshians marathons on E!...I've also seen the following in theaters this past week; Captain America (did anyone else nearly pee their pants seeing the teaser trailer of the Avengers film next year? just me? okay...), Friends With Benefits (better than No Strings Attached and a lot cuter than I thought it was going to be), Crazy, Stupid, Love (ehhh...I don't know, it had it's moments but I was still left feeling underwhelmed. I still plan on having Ryan Gosling's babies though...)
On an unrelated note, I am really into this song right now.
