somewhere between waking and sleeping
Tonight is my last night in Chicago. I am sad to go. It's always fun coming up and visiting friends. And seeing Turbo Fruits was an added bonus. I also met some awesome new people.
Today was such an awesome day. I had breakfast with my friends Chloe and Kristen at Tweet. LOVE this place so much. Their coffee is truly liquid crack and of course their food is delicious.
bon appetit
Then Chloe and I spent all afternoon/evening lying in bed, drinking Jameson and watching movies. We watched Girl, Interrupted and Withnail and I (of course). It was so chill and perfect. Also, Chloe was nice enough to be my model for the day. Love mini photo adventures.
Anyways, tomorrow (well technically today since it's 1am) I have a twelve hour journey back home (gotta love our train system, we are never getting a high speed rail system, ever). Most of my time spent will be spent reading the books I have left to read and watching She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You (don't hate).
Also, in case you didn't know...lately I've been into filming and learning about it. Right now I am just documenting my friends and doing interviews with them. Some previews very soon.

this momentary
Alright, so here is my first video blog, like requested. It's really awkward and I look disgusting without make-up but whatevs. At least I don't have my Aunt Jemina doo rag on.
Also, I am just learning how to do all this video stuff. After the 2:00 minute mark there is nothing else. I didn't know how to cut it down!! Trust I don't have 5 mintues worth of things to talk about.
Anyways, first lame video.
I am documenting this whole Chicago trip, so more videos to come soon and I'll get my editing skills down! You just wait.

shakin all over
Tomorrow I am going to be in Chicago and I am hella excited. Do people still use "hella"? Well, I do, so whatevs. I am excited to see my friends and chill.
If you by chance find yourself bored on a Saturday night, you should come see a great band called Turbo Fruits play at Schubas.
Mah girls and myself plan on turning it into a shit show and par-tay-ing downnnnn! So come dance with us if you see us up front turning it out.

eclipse
Real talk, I just bought my ticket for the midnight showing of Twlight Eclipse. I should have a little shame but I don't. I am sadly obsessed with these films and Robert Pattinson.
trailer #1
Trailer #2
Now I am going out to rent Remember Me because surprisingly, I didn't see it in theaters.

say whaaat???
You guys want me to do to a video blog post?
Pshhhh...
No one wants to hear me talking about drinking gin and tonics while watching Golden Girls and Designing Women. My life isn't THAT exciting.
If I do decide to do a video blog, I am going to need your guys help. Email me or formspring me some questions and/or topics and maybe, just maybe I'll post a video on here.
you are the reason i can't hurt, i've got a heart of stone
ph. Marlene Marino
I think this quote can be applied to crushes and general heartache:
"if someone breaks up with you, you’ve got two weeks. You’ve got those two weeks to fucking, sit in your room, and fucking cry. Don’t eat, eat too much, whatever. After that, pick yourself up and move the fuck on. It will only benefit you. You’ll either meet someone better, or that guy will come running back, and you might not want him by that time." -unknown
a book a week #9
The book I am reading this week is Sara Gruen's "Water For Elephants".
And it has nothing, I mean NOTHING to do with the beautiful specimen of a man, Robert Pattinson being in the film adapation. I hear it's an really interesting read.

love like a sunset
I really can not wait until Sofia Coppola's new film "Somehere" comes out. I am a HUGE fan of her work and the trailer seems promising. Plus, Phoenix are doing the music for the film. I mean, COME ON, you know it is going to be good.

mellow out
JEFF the brotherhood are using my photo I took of them for their 7" called Mellow Out. If you haven't seen them live yet or heard of them, you need to. They are great.

a book a week #6 and #7 and maybe #8??
I 've been falling behind on updates with a book a week.
Here is a list of what I have read in the past couple of weeks.
The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test- Tom Wolfe
Homage To California - George Orwell
Keep The Aspidistra Flying - George Orwell
An Unquite Mind: A Memoir of Moods & Madness - Kay Jamison
Somebody: The Reckless Life & Remarkable Career of Marlon Brandon -Stefan Kanfer
The Martian Chronicles - Ray Bradbury
And throw in a few eastern religion books, but those weren't as exciting as the above.
The ones I recommend to read are An Unquite Mind, it shows how a woman in the medical field deals with her bipolar disorder and I also recommend The Electric Kool Acid Test and Homage To California. Those were really good reads.
The next two books I am bringing to read on my trip to New York City are:
Exile On Main Street: A Season In Hell With The Rolling Stones by Robert Greenfield.
And, Tell Me How Long The Train Has Been Gone by James Baldwin
What is everyone else reading? I am sure I will be doing some major book shopping whilst in New York City, so any recommendations would be great.

bird flu
I recently bought a black turban for two bucks. I quite like it. Here's a shitty photobooth photo of me wearing it. Better photos of me wearing it probably when I am in New York.

hell yeahhh
I had SUCH a great day today. WAY better than the shit storm that was yesterday.
I went out with my friend Dustin and we went to Lawrence to go thrifting and antiquing.
(I even saw a new bicycle I may want to buy when I come back from New York and Chicago!)
Now for mobile pictures:
Dustin SO wanted these boots.
The Kramer
Who doesn't love Bill Cosby?
We ate at The Mad Greek for lunch and had gyros, pita wraps and an afternooon drink.
Dustin's new ride.
The actual owner of this ride.
(so this guy was wearing overalls, which I SWEAR are going to make a comback, you just wait. I am ready to bust mines back out and wear it TLC style with one strap off.)
I got my OWN drum kit. Chicka-yeahhh!
Then, a random neighbor (David was his name) of Dustin's came and showed us how things are done. He busted shit out even though he was right handed and I play left handed.
And now I am learning how to play the drums, for realsies!! AHHH EXCITING!
More photos later from our adventures when I get my roll of film developed.
NOTE: So to explain the title of this blog post a little bit, besides it being just a awesome day. So, Dustin saw this band play recently and the band ended everything with a husky "HELL YEAHHH!" So, today after every sentence we would add "hell yeahhh", it was mindless fun. I need more days like today. For the motherfucking realzzzz.
